What you’ll do
The Banquet Porter’s mission is to prepare and maintain meeting rooms to the client’s every request, ensuring cleanliness and proper set‑up.
- Serve all guests and respond to inquiries according to Marriott Banquet standards.
- Handle guest concerns, compliments and suggestions professionally using the LEARN process.
- Set up, maintain and tear down all meeting rooms according to Marriott standards.
- Maintain and keep all banquet equipment in good working condition and report deficiencies.
- Conduct monthly inventory of all banquet equipment.
- Communicate all additional convener requests to the Banquet Manager and/or F&B managers.
- Perform banquet duties in compliance with local liquor and health and safety laws.
- Keep work areas and storage rooms neat and orderly.
- Participate in daily pre‑shift meetings.
- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
What you’ll offer us

- Six months related work experience; previous hotel experience as a banquet houseperson or porter preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts and days as required.
