Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Banquet Manager role located at Baku Marriott Hotel Boulevard in Baku. The Banquet Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of all banquet events, ensuring they meet hotel standards and client expectations. Daily responsibilities include supervising banquet staff, assigning duties, and providing on-the-floor leadership during events. The role manages event setups and breakdowns, coordinates with the kitchen and food & beverage teams, and monitors service quality throughout each function. The Banquet Manager also handles client communication before, during, and after events, addresses any service issues, manages inventory and equipment, and supports budgeting, cost control, and reporting related to banquet operations.
Qualifications
- Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with the ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Excellent Communication skills for coordinating with guests, team members, and other hotel departments.
- Solid understanding of Food & Beverage operations, banquet service standards, and event logistics.
- Experience in Hiring, training, and supervising banquet staff to maintain high performance and service levels.
- Previous experience in banquet or events management within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Proven leadership, team management, and time-management skills in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations relevant to food service and events.
- Professional proficiency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
