Role Description This seasonal Banquet Chef role at Windsor Properties is a temporary, on-site position based in Vero Beach, FL. The Banquet Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and executing high-quality banquet menus for events such as weddings, club functions, member gatherings, and private parties. Daily responsibilities include overseeing food production for banquets, coordinating with the Executive Chef and event team on menus and timelines, and ensuring dishes are prepared to established standards of taste, presentation, and consistency. The role also includes supervising banquet kitchen staff, organizing prep and station setup, monitoring food safety and sanitation, managing inventory for banquet events, and assisting with ordering as needed. The Banquet Chef collaborates closely with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service, timely course delivery, and an exceptional culinary experience for members and guests.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary foundation, including Cooking and Culinary Skills suitable for high-volume banquet production.
- Hands-on experience in Food Preparation for large-scale events, including mise en place, batch cooking, and plating.
- Background in Food Service and Food & Beverage operations, with familiarity in coordinating with event and service teams.
- Ability to manage multiple events, prioritize tasks, and maintain quality under time constraints.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper kitchen equipment use.
- Previous experience as a Banquet Chef, Sous Chef, or similar role in upscale hospitality, private clubs, or resorts preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and supervise a diverse kitchen team.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
- Culinary degree or formal culinary training preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
