The Role (Your Script)
As our Banquet Captain, you aren't just managing events; you are the ultimate host, orchestrator, and master of ceremonies for unforgettable group experiences.
- Direct the Production: Take full ownership of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to execute flawless events that leave our clients thinking, "Damn, that was good fun."
- Lead the Ensemble: Supervise, mentor, and bring out the best in our banquet servers, bartenders, and setup teams. You set the stage for high energy and seamless teamwork.
- Coordinate the Magic: Partner with Group Sales, our exceptional culinary team, and outside partners to ensure every detail—from specialty equipment to timing—is absolute perfection.
- Steal the Show: Act as the direct liaison and primary point of contact for our clients on the floor , jumping in with swift problem-solving and artistic flair whenever needed.
What You Bring
- The Experience: Minimum of 6 months as a banquet or full-service dining server. Prior supervisory experience or a background in high-volume event execution is a major plus.
- The Mindset: A vibrant, welcoming attitude and an uncompromising eye for detail. You are organized under pressure, self-motivated, and inherently collaborative.
- The Certifications: Ready to shine with South Carolina Alcohol Server Certification (may be obtained in the first 30 days) and ServSafe Food Handler (company-paid).
- The Flexibility: Ready to keep things moving untethered from a desk, stepping across our historic indoor spaces and rooftop venues. A flexible schedule (including evenings, weekends, and holidays) is part of the gig.
