Job Title: Catering Supervisor
Location: East Rutherford, NJ
Availability: Must be available June-July 2026
Shifts: Various shifts are available throughout the 2-month timeframe
Overview
We are seeking experienced and service-driven VIP Event Catering Supervisors to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering an elevated guest experience across VIP areas, suites, and hospitality zones. We are looking for dependable leaders who can confidently oversee service areas, support staff, and ensure an exceptional guest experience in fast-paced hospitality environments.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in catering, hospitality, restaurants, VIP service, or live events and is comfortable leading teams while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support food & beverage staff during event service
- Oversee assigned service areas and ensure smooth floor operations
- Assist with staff direction, communication, and task delegation
- Ensure all guest interactions are professional, friendly, and solution-oriented
- Coordinate with supervisors, bartenders, catering teams, and event management
- Monitor timing of service, replenishment, cleanliness, and presentation
- Help resolve guest or operational issues quickly and professionally
- Assist with event setup, breakdown, and overall team organization
- Maintain high standards of hospitality and professionalism throughout the event
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Captain, Lead Server, Banquet Captain, or hospitality lead preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Experience working in high-volume hospitality or event environments
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to remain organized and calm under pressure
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends
