We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our Food & Beverage team at the Salthill Hotel. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for exceptional guest service, and extensive restaurant and wine knowledge.
Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you will help oversee the day-to-day operation of the Prom restaurant, ensuring the highest standards of service, quality, and guest satisfaction are consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily management and operation of the restaurant.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the restaurant team to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
- Ensure excellent service standards are maintained at all times.
- Support staff training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Manage guest feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Monitor restaurant presentation, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Work closely with the kitchen and management teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and cost management.
- Support the delivery of food and beverage revenue targets.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a Food & Beverage supervisory or management role, preferably within a hotel or high-volume restaurant environment.
- Sommelier experience and strong wine knowledge are essential.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Experience with restaurant reservation and POS systems is advantageous.
