Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for the position of Assistant Housekeeping Manager. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager is responsible for supervising housekeeping staff, ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are impeccably clean, and maintaining high standards of service. Key responsibilities include scheduling, training, and mentoring staff, overseeing laundry operations, managing inventory of supplies, and addressing guest inquiries with exceptional customer service. The role requires effective collaboration with other departments to deliver a memorable guest experience.
Qualifications
- Supervisory Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team within housekeeping or similar departments.
- Laundry and Maintenance: Hands-on experience with overseeing laundry services and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Customer Service and Communication: Strong customer service mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Hiring and Training: Proficient in hiring, onboarding, and providing ongoing training for staff members.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of housekeeping and sanitation regulations is an asset.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
