Position Summary

The Assistant Manager, Food & Beverage is responsible for supervising all F&B activities within the club. This includes overseeing the F&B Supervisors as well as a team of Waitstaff to ensure a flawless execution of service. The Assistant F&B Manager will be responsible for administrative tasks that assist the Food & Beverage Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily front of house operations to ensure excellent member experiences
  • Manage all food and beverage staff and help ensure proper service
  • Planning and executing bar, dining, patio and banquet set-ups based on anticipated member, guest and client needs and events
  • Act as Manager on Duty, making operational decisions in the absence of the Food & Beverage Manager
  • Lead and coach Food & Beverage Supervisors, providing regular feedback, accountability and performance development
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, systems and member experience
  • Review daily sales, labour and operating results – make recommendations and adjustments as needed
  • Assist in creating and overseeing special member events and activities
  • Maintain beverage standards, pricing, menu accuracy and product knowledge
  • Monitor and understand beverage cost, inventory variances and waste through our inventory program
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue through merchandising, promotions and member engagement
  • Prepare and adjusting Staff schedule/payroll,
  • Prepare and manage day event promotions, special event promotions, ensuring proper product ordering is delegated, in the absence of the Catering Team.
  • Oversee all inventory including: smallware’s, bar supplies, linens,
  • Maintains continuous surveillance of all Dining outlets including banquet dining areas to ensure members are served efficiently, professionally and courteously.

Physical Effort

  •  Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, up to 50 lbs

 

Work Hours

·       Will be required to work days, evenings and weekends

Education / Certification / Work Experience

·      Must have Smart Serve and Food Handler certification

·      3-5 Year Restaurant Supervisory or Management experience, previous Club experience is an asset

·      Previous experience managing budgets, achieving sales revenue

Pay Range: $70,000 – $75,000
