Role Description
- Handles customers’ enquiries. Liaises with customers, collects details of event information or requirements during enquiry stage and reports to supervisor/ respective EM/AEM if necessary.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for event organizers, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Provides event planning outlines and agendas to facilitate meetings with customers and all centre’s departments or employees.
- Prepares and distributes event orders, with detailed customer information and requirements, to other centre’s operational and supporting employees.
- Monitors the progress of the event.
- Maintains open and cordial relationship with customers by offering advice and adequate venue information as well as tactfully handling problems and requests, including those that will inevitably be provided just prior to the event.
- Maximizes revenue of Food & Beverage Department by upselling the centre’s equipment and services to customers with minimize costs.
- Confirms customers’ satisfaction and solicits suggestions for improvement following the event; Maintains a record of post-event comments, reviews and critiques by inputting them into the EBMS for future reference.
Qualifications
- Degree holder or above in business studies, catering, hotel management, tourism management or other related fields.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in practical event co-ordination experience in MICE industry. Candidates with less than 2 years' experience may be considered for the position of F&B Coordinator.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, Mandarin would be advantageous.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to interact effectively with people of cross- cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to interpret logistical and technical event requirements.
- Good computer skills in using software applications e.g., Word, Excel, and database management.
- Good organisational and good leadership skills.
- Able to work under pressure.
