Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Chef role based in Helsingborg. The Assistant Chef will support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating dishes to established standards. Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen cleanliness, organizing ingredients and supplies, following food safety and hygiene regulations, and assisting with inventory management. The role also involves collaborating with kitchen and front-of-house teams, contributing to menu execution, and helping ensure consistent quality and timely service during busy shifts.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills, including basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and an eye for presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, manage time well, and handle multiple tasks during service.
- Team-oriented mindset with clear communication skills and a professional, service-focused attitude.
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen or culinary training is preferred.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to kitchen procedures, and take direction from senior chefs.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Basic understanding of Swedish or English to communicate effectively with the team and follow instructions.
