At Celest, we are looking for an Assistant Bar Manager to support the daily bar operation and help us build a strong, professional, and guest-focused bar team.

Celest is a unique hospitality location in Rotterdam, where high-level service, quality drinks, events, and guest experience come together. We are looking for someone who is not only strong behind the bar, but also confident in leading people, keeping structure, and supporting the management team in the daily operation.

As Assistant Bar Manager, you will work closely with the Bar & Events Manager and the rest of the management team. You will help oversee the bar operation, guide the team during service, support with stock and ordering, maintain standards, and make sure every guest receives a smooth and memorable experience.

This role is ideal for someone who already has solid bar experience and is ready to take the next step into leadership.

What you will do

*Support the daily bar operation and ensure smooth service

* Lead, coach, and motivate the bar team during shifts

* Maintain high standards in drinks, presentation, cleanliness, and guest service

* Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory

* Support with training new and existing team members

* Help monitor sales, upselling, and revenue opportunities

* Work closely with floor, events, kitchen, and management teams

* Handle operational challenges calmly and professionally

* Make sure company standards and procedures are followed

* Support events, busy bar nights, and special occasions

* Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, hotel, or high-volume hospitality environment

* Strong knowledge of bar operations, drinks, service flow, and guest experience

* A natural leader who can guide a team without losing the human touch

* Good communication skills and a professional attitude

* Strong eye for detail, cleanliness, and organization

* Ability to stay calm and structured during busy moments

* Commercial mindset with focus on upselling and guest satisfaction

* Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

* Someone who takes ownership and wants to grow with the company
